Privacy Policy for Lunar Companion

Lunar Companion Engine, also listed as Lunar Companion, is operated by Soul Into It ("Lunar Companion," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This policy is written for users and for app store review. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and you should have it reviewed before publishing if your launch jurisdiction, company structure, or monetization model changes.

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

Authentication identifiers, such as Firebase user ID
Email verification status
Google sign-in account information, if you choose to sign in with Google
Profile information you choose to provide, such as phone number, country, address, city, and state or province
Birth Profile and Astrology Inputs
To generate personalized astrology reports, we may collect information you provide, including:
Date of birth
Birth location
Time of birth, if provided
Time zone or inferred time-zone-related profile settings
Report preferences, such as daily, weekly, or monthly report views
Birth time is optional, but some report features, such as rising sign or house-related interpretations, may be limited without it.
Generated Report Information
The Service may generate and display astrology content based on your inputs, including:
Sun, moon, rising, placement, house, aspect, transit, and theme interpretations
Daily, weekly, and monthly report content
PDF exports you create from your report
Report generation timestamps
Depending on the app version and platform, generated reports may be stored, cached, exported on your device, or associated with your account so the Service can provide continuity and improve the user experience.
Usage, Device, and Technical Information
We and our service providers may collect technical information such as:
Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, and language settings
IP address and approximate location derived from IP address
Log data, request metadata, and diagnostic information
Authentication, quota, and security events
Interactions with app features, pages, reports, ads, and export tools
Advertising and Analytics Information
The Service may display ads through Google AdMob on mobile and Google AdSense on web. Advertising providers may collect or receive information such as:
Device identifiers and advertising identifiers, where permitted
IP address and approximate location
Ad impressions, clicks, and performance data
Consent, personalization, and ad-delivery settings
App or website interaction data used for measurement and fraud prevention
We do not knowingly collect precise GPS location for advertising purposes unless a future version of the app clearly asks for that permission.

Generate personalized astrology reports using your birth details
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly report experiences
Export reports to PDF when you request it

Astrology content is provided for informational, entertainment, self-reflection, and personal growth purposes. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or professional advice.
3. Artificial Intelligence Processing
Lunar Companion uses Google Gemini or similar AI services to generate personalized astrology interpretations. To create a report, we may send birth details and related report request information to our AI service provider.
We do not intentionally send payment card details, government ID numbers, passwords, or unrelated sensitive personal information to the AI model. You should avoid entering sensitive information into free-text fields unless it is specifically requested and necessary for the feature.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You should use your own judgment and not rely on astrology reports for high-stakes decisions.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database storage, hosting, logs, quota enforcement, and infrastructure operations
Google sign-in services when you choose to authenticate with Google
Google Gemini or similar AI providers for report generation
Google AdMob and Google AdSense for advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and consent-aware ad delivery
Service providers who help us operate, secure, support, analyze, or improve the Service
Legal, regulatory, law enforcement, or government authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security
Successors or affiliates in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling your data for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising or analytics activities as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." Where those laws apply, you may have rights to opt out as described below.

App store providers, such as Apple App Store and Google Play, when you install or use the app through those platforms
Your use of the Service may also be subject to privacy settings and choices provided by your device operating system, browser, app store, or Google account.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, maintain account records, enforce limits, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve security.
Typical retention may include:
Account and profile information for as long as your account remains active
Authentication and security logs for a limited operational period
Report request and quota records for as long as needed to operate usage limits and prevent abuse
Support communications for as long as needed to respond and maintain business records
If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account or personal information
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Advertising Choices
You may be able to manage ad personalization through:
Your device advertising settings
Apple App Tracking Transparency settings, where applicable
Google ad settings
In-app consent prompts, if shown in your region
Browser cookie and privacy controls for the web version
If you disable personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service or provide personal information.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us personal information may contact us.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication controls, access rules, server-side secret handling, and infrastructure security practices.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and improve our safeguards over time.
11. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your location. When required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms to support international data transfers.
12. California and U.S. State Privacy Notices
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, correction, portability, and opting out of certain data sharing or targeted advertising.
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Advertising and analytics activities may involve disclosures that some laws classify as sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. You may contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

14. Account Deletion
To delete your Lunar Companion account, email us at wecare@soulintoit.com with the subject line "Delete Account." Please send the request from the email address associated with your account when possible so we can verify and process the request more quickly.
If an in-app deletion tool is available in your app version, you may also use that tool.
When processing deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity. Some records may be retained if necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app, on our website, or by email where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
