This Privacy Policy explains how Wellbeing Coach ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our app and related services (the "Service").

  • This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through:

  • The Wellbeing Coach application.

  • Associated backend services and infrastructure used to deliver app features.

  • It does not cover third-party websites or services you access independently.

3. Information We Collect

Depending on your use of the Service, we may collect:

  • Account and Identity Information

  • Account identifiers (for example, Firebase Authentication user ID).

  • Email address and basic profile details you provide.

  • Profile and User Content

  • Profile preferences and settings.

  • Optional profile photo you upload (camera or photo library access is used only when you choose to provide a photo).

  • Chat/session content, goals, milestones, and related in-app entries.

  • If you use AI coaching, chat prompts/messages and optional file attachments you submit for AI responses.

  • Subscription and Purchase Information

  • Subscription state and entitlement metadata (for example, tier/status/provider).

  • RevenueCat event metadata required to sync subscription status.

  • Store transaction references from Apple billing systems (we do not directly receive full payment card numbers).

  • Technical and Diagnostic Data

  • Device/app metadata, crash information, and operational logs.

  • Webhook delivery and processing logs for subscription synchronization.

4. How We Use Information

  • Create and maintain your account.

  • Provide core app functionality (chat, goals, profile, subscription features).

  • Sync and enforce subscription access, including RevenueCat webhook reconciliation.

  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.

  • Detect abuse, fraud, or policy violations.

  • Comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal Bases (Where Required)

If your jurisdiction requires legal bases for processing (such as GDPR/UK GDPR), we rely on one or more of:

  • Performance of a contract (providing the Service you request).

  • Legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement).

  • Consent (where required, such as optional permissions).

  • Legal obligation (compliance with law).

6. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers/processors that help us run the app (for example, hosting, authentication, analytics, purchase/subscription infrastructure).

  • RevenueCat for subscription lifecycle and entitlement synchronization.

  • Firebase/Google Cloud services for authentication, data storage, and backend operations.

  • Google Gemini (Google) as our AI service provider for coaching/chat response generation. Shared data may include chat text and optional attachments you choose to send.

  • Legal/regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell personal information for money. If "sale" or "sharing" under certain privacy laws applies to specific processing, we will provide legally required notices/choices.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Service.

  • Maintain account and subscription history.

  • Meet legal, accounting, and security requirements.

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

When no longer required, we delete or de-identify information, subject to technical and legal constraints.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we implement lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards.

Account deletion is available in-app at Profile & Settings → Security → Delete Account. If provided for your region, you may also use the direct web deletion page linked from that screen.

We may need to verify your identity before completing requests.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Wellbeing Coach provides wellness and informational support only. It is not medical, mental health, or emergency care, and is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last Updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the app or other appropriate channels.
